About LINKA Energy
Danish biomass combustion specialists since 1978
LINKA Energy History
LINKA Energy was founded in 1978 — at the height of the global oil crisis, when the world began seeking alternative energy sources. Danish engineers created the first industrial straw combustion plant, laying the foundation for over 45 years of innovation in biomass energy.
Today, LINKA Energy employs approximately 45 people, has 3,500+ successful installations worldwide, and holds an AAA credit rating. The company is part of LINKA Group alongside Jernforsen Energi System AB (Sweden, 4–35 MW plants) and Weiss A/S (service and maintenance).
Our mission is to provide efficient, sustainable, and climate-neutral heat production through biomass. We operate in 20+ countries, adapting solutions from small farm installations to large-scale heating plants up to 15,000 kW.
